Hello all you wonderous, beautiful people! It’s that time of year again– Zombie Jesus Day! Or Easter, if you prefer. But I prefer to call a zombie a zombie. 
It’s no secret that the little SGEPites do not get candy for Easter– too many food issues. No, the little minions of destruction (MoDs) get fruit and books. This has been the case since, well, forever. This year, the lore of ZJ has expanded in our household.
See, in a “normal” Christian house, an easter bunny comes and leaves lots of candy, and scatters chicken eggs for the little chil’ren to find (and in some cases, hides the easter basket).
In our house, Zombie Jesus comes and leaves lots of yummy fruit and books for all the little SGEPites. He does this as a gesture of love, as Jesus was a very giving person. But there is a darkside, as you might well imagine; he also brings these healthy snacks as a way to make sure the brains grow nice and juicy for him to eat at some point in time.
So, as you eat your lamb (of God?) and your chocolate and your boiled eggs, ask yourself this; is your brain ready for the second coming?

hee hee!!! The Easter Bunny doesn’t bring baskets at our house either. The kids get too much candy at Grandma & Grandpa’s houses. Yes, that what the grandparents do…
That and I’m too cheep (frugal) to do an Easter basket for the kids. We don’t color eggs, we re-use plastic eggs. We have THIRTY and I haven’t bought one yet! LOL!!
